Thank you for wrestling with/addressing this.

In regards to JJ Abrams being a Jewish person/writer/filmmaker…I don’t know his knowledge acumen surrounding the history or if he was overridden in the writing process. I truly don’t know.

It’s important to point out because this happened in the show regardless of his involvement. Someone (or some people) gave this the green light and that’s the issue. The fact we’re having this discussion and this trope saw the light of day is the issue.

What happened in this episode of Lovecraft Country isn’t an isolated incident, just an example of a much broader issue of media literacy.
